The Dark Artifices – Queen Of Air and Darkness
Quote: “Sometimes when you start a war, you want to make pancakes.”
What if damnation is the price of true love?
Innocent blood has been spilled on the steps of the Council Hall, the sacred stronghold of the Shadowhunters. In the wake of the tragic death of Livia Blackthorn, the Clave teeters on the brink of civil war. One fragment of the Blackthorn family flees to Los Angeles, seeking to discover the source of the disease that is destroying the race of warlocks. Meanwhile, Julian and Emma take desperate measures to put their forbidden love aside and undertake a perilous mission to Faerie to retrieve the Black Volume of the Dead. What they find in the Courts is a secret that may tear the Shadow World asunder and open a dark path into a future they could never have imagined. Caught in a race against time, Emma and Julian must save the world of Shadowhunters before the deadly power of the parabatai curse destroys them and everyone they love.
There beneath the book is such brilliance and such powerful magic bursting out of every word written. This author has created such a wonderful masterpiece of the young shadowhunters living in Los Angeles. This is by far, and I can only fathom it to stay that way for a while. This author brought these characters as well as the reader’s emotions into a whole new world, creating such a well-written story. In my opinion, there are not enough you could say about this book, and yet, there are not any words to match it’s gorgeous literature within. This is the third book in one of the many shadowhunter chronicle’s series; The Dark Artifices. Not only do the main heartthrobs, Julian and Emma face their fate and danger, but so do so many close to them. Each with their own mission, but can they conquer all and save the day? Can they love who they wish to love? And can they survive the trauma and overthrow their government?
I HIGHLY recommend this book! Don’t forget to check out more of the Shadowhunter Chronicles.
