Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dog days
Quote: “I’m not really sure what makes a book a “classic” to begin with, but I think it has to be at least fifty years old and some person or animal has to die at the end.”
Blurb: The way I like to spend my summer holiday is in front of the TV, playing video games with the curtains closed and the light turned off.
Unfortunately, mom’s idea of the perfect holiday is different from mine.
Greg’s mom has a vision of ‘Family togetherness” that really doesn’t sound a whole lot of fun. But there’s a brand-new addition to the Heffley family, to contend with and it looks like Greg might be outnumbered. It could be a real dog of a summer…
Review: I Really enjoyed this book in particular. I felt more humor present and much more cockiness from our dear old protagonist, Greg Heffley. All dog lovers, we are indeed introduced to the new doggo character, Sweetie. Disaster struck out in entertainment for the family. More obstacles run its course, but the best part is that it makes a great read. Be sure to check it out! The author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Jeff Kinney, is visiting Sout Africa on his book tour this year! He’s a fantastic writer, I’m sure it would be the best experience to meet him! I highly recommend this happy yellow book for everyone!
