The Mortal Instruments – City Of Lost Souls
Quote: “Basia coquum,” Simon said. “Or whatever their motto is.”
“It’s ‘Descensus Averno facilis est.’ ‘The descent into hell is easy,” said Alec. “You just said, “Kiss the cook.”
“Dammit,” said Simon. “I knew Jace was screwing with me.”
Blurb: Jace is now a servant of evil, bound for all eternity to Sebastian. Only a small band of Shadowhunters believe he can be saved. To do this they must defy the Clave. And they must act without Clary. For Clary is playing a dangerous game utterly alone. The price of losing is not just her own life, but Jace’s soul. Clary is willing to do anything for Jace, but can she trust him? What price is too high to pay, even for love?
My review: Clace-Jace and Clary have been through a lot but nothing brings them more trouble than a time like this. This book was very interesting and took a different turn where we read things from a distraught or bad man’s view as well as the characters with him, like Jace. This was not my favorite only due to there being an active change but I am still very much in love with this book. I highly recommend this book. The Mortal Instruments – City Of Lost Souls is the fifth book in the series apart of The Shadowhunter Chronicles.
