The Infernal Devices – Clockwork Angel

The Infernal Devices – Clockwork Angel, book 1 by Cassandra Clare

Quote: “So you’re a Shadowhunter,” Nate said. “De Quincy told me that you lot are monsters.”

“Was that before or after he tried to eat you?” Will inquired.

Blurb: Love is the most dangerous magic of all…

When Tessa Gray arrives in England during the reign of Queen Victoria, something terrifying is waiting for her in London’s Downworld, where vampires, warlocks, and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Friendliness and hunted, Tessa seeks refuge with the Shadowhunters, a band of demon hunters. Drawn ever deeper into their world. She finds herself fascinated by — and torn between — two best friends.

The shadowhunter chronicles.

My review: This is another series included in The Shadowhunter Chronicles. Clockwork Angel is the first book out of three in The Infernal Devices. This series/book was written brilliantly and was also written to be in the 1800s where you can learn more about Tessa’s journey, life in the 1800s, shadowhunters and furthermore existing events.

I love Tessa’s character as well as the shadowhunters and downworlders. I’m forever hoping to be a Shadowhunter and this book left me feeling too many things but compassion, suspense, (fell in love with the characters), happiness, heartbroken and many more.

I’m hooked!
